About Us

Read Write Connect is a team of passionate educators who have implemented Nancy’s Reading and Writing Curriculum for many years and witnessed successful development and progress in students. Teaching writing can be challenging. It is one content area teachers struggle to feel confident in. With Nancy’s curriculum, teachers have found explicit and systematic steps to build confidence in students as teachers obtain knowledge in how to instruct using the most effective methods. We are committed to providing instruction that reaches all students. 

When Nancy’s sudden retirement was announced, we felt it was vital to continue sharing her program with fellow educators. Her strategies are not just limited to reading and writing; they are best-teaching practices for all content areas. 

We are delighted to share, with Nancy’s blessing, the continuation of Nancy Fetzer’s Literacy Connections with the transitioning to a new platform and support team, while remaining committed to her transformative curriculum. 

As educators implementing her program, we have witnessed firsthand how Nancy's research-based curriculum impacts writing development for all students. Her strategies have provided tools and procedures to implement explicit direct-instruction writing strategies that are interactive, language development-focused, and engaging.

Nancy’s legacy will continue with access to her valuable resources.
